Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres presented a new New South Wales State flag to Penrith RSL Club.
\”It was an honour and privilege to present a new State flag today to Mr Neville Barnier the Chairman of the Board for Penrith RSL Club and President of the Penrith RSL Sub Branch, Mr Neel Chand the CEO of Penrith RSL Club and Mr John King the Secretary of Penrith RSL Sub Branch.\”Mr Ayres said.
The current state flag of New South Wales was officially adopted by the government of New South Wales in 1876. The State flag is the symbol of NSW and represents the people of our community.
The Penrith RSL Club performs a daily ritual to raise and lower the flag in remembrance to servicemen and women of Australia. The flag is an enduring symbol of the people and it is one of the things that should not change.\” Mr Ayres said
