Penrith Swimming Centre – Community Building Partnership Grant

[[{“type”:”media”,”view_mode”:”default”,”fid”:”398″,”attributes”:{“alt”:””,”class”:”media-image”,”style”:”width: 400px; height: 192px; float: right; margin: 10px;”,”typeof”:”foaf:Image”}}]]Member for Penrith, Stuart Ayres MP met with Councillor Ross Fowler of Penrith City Council today to announce the successful application for funding by the Penrith Swimming Centre as part of the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Program.

\”I am pleased to announce that the Penrith Swimming Centre has received a grant of $25,000 under the 2012 Community Building Partnership Program.\” Mr. Ayres said.

The funds will be used toward the installation of new shade structures at Penrith Swimming centre.

The Centre facilities are used by numerous sporting clubs, schools and residents of the community throughout the year and the upgrade will ensure that adequate shade areas are provided.

\”The Community Building Partnerships are a terrific program that provides the opportunity for local community groups such as youth, sporting, hobby groups and Council’s to build, refurbish or maintain much needed infrastructure that will benefit the local community\” Mr Ayres said.
