Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today congratulated the Service NSW Penrith team on an outstanding record as it marks one year since opening to customers.
“The Service NSW team at Penrith has set new benchmarks for customer service,” Stuart Ayres said.
“Since 20 June last year the team has assisted more than 180,000 customers with average wait times of under six minutes and customer satisfaction of 98 per cent.
“Combined with improved online access and 24/7 phone service, the one-stop shops break down the barriers to doing business with the NSW Government.”
Stuart Ayres said locals appreciated the variety of government transaction services and options provided by Service NSW.
“This is a proud milestone for the local Service NSW team who’ve worked so hard to make the Penrith centre a success,” Stuart Ayres said.
“The bottom line is it’s now easier and quicker to get government transactions done, and it’s no surprise that customer satisfaction is so high.”
Service Centre Manager Sangeeta Saxena said every one of the 33-strong Penrith team had made a solid contribution to the success of the service centre.
“The Service NSW one-stop-shop concept might make a lot of sense but it’s taken a lot of hard work to get things up and running,” Ms Saxena said.
“Our team has stepped up to the mark to make things easier and more efficient for customers, and it’s rewarding that expectations have been met if not exceeded.
The Penrith Service NSW Centre is one of more than 30 centres now operating around the State to ensure better customer service, shorter waiting times and a reduction in service and facility duplication.
The centres enable customer to access to more than 800 NSW government transactions including driver licences, vehicle registrations, Seniors Card applications, owner builder permits, housing payments and more.
Customers also have the option of using a 24/7 phone service and expanded internet services. The Penrith Service NSW centre is located at 333 High Street.
