Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith joined Mr Ben Feszcuzk, Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Penrith to announce a grant of $5,000.
“Penrith Rotary are strong supporters of our community and I am pleased to offer this assistance,” Stuart Ayres said.
Stuart Ayres said the $5,000 grant will assist Penrith Rotary to purchase a BBQ trailer which is a vital tool in their local fundraising efforts.
The BBQ trailer will feature double burners, sink and hot water system, lighting and space for a generator.
Penrith Rotary is well known for their community service projects and donated close to $60,000 across 2016-17 to charitable organisations and to those less fortunate including: The Ross Hutchinson Foundation, Mama Lana’s Community Foundation, Penrith Disabilities Resource Centre, to the widow of the late senior constable Brett Forte, Operation Food for Life, Nepean Medical Research Fund, Ecuador Earthquake Appeal / Disaster Aid.
The Rotary Club of Penrith is one of Australia’s oldest Rotary Clubs having been charted in November 1945.
