Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith visited Rainbow Cottage Preschool, Cambridge Gardens to announce that they will benefit from a NSW Government grant to go towards enhancing their service.
Rainbow Cottage will use their grant of $14,175 to install synthetic grass in their outdoor play-space.
Stuart Ayres said I am pleased to announce the following preschools have also been successful in securing funding through the second round of the NSW Government’s Quality Learning Environments fund:
- KU – Penrith Preschool $14,867 for playground landscaping to create a dry creek river bed and mud kitchen,
- Glenbrook Preschool Kindergarten $15,000 to install an accessible ramp,
- Grays Lane Children’s Centre $15,000 for a garden renovation and retreat,
- Tandara Preschool $15,000 for a bush tucker garden.
“These preschools are showing their commitment to ensuring children across Penrith have access to top quality early childhood education, which, as the local member, makes me very proud,” Stuart Ayres said.
The Quality Learning Environments program was introduced in 2018 and is part of the NSW Government’s $332 million Start Strong Program which was introduced in 2016 and has been extended to 2021. For more information, visit the Department of Education website.
