Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith is encouraging Penrith community members to let their family and friends know their wishes when it comes to organ donation.
Stuart Ayres said upcoming DonateLife week provides a timely reminder to discuss organ donation with loved ones, ensuring they are aware of your decision.
“DonateLife week aims to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation, which can ultimately save up to 10 lives,” Stuart Ayres said.
“The option to donate is no longer offered on your driver licence renewal form, if you wish to donate you must register with the Australian Organ Donor Register
“This is a selfless act that could provide someone with a second chance at life,” added Stuart Ayres.
DonateLife week 2018 runs from Sunday 29 July – Sunday 5 August.
