Opportunity to contribute to organ debate closes 31 January

There aresix days remaining for people wishing to participate in the NSW Government’s discussion on increasing organ donation rates in NSW, with submissions closing at the end of this month, Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres said today.

\”People in Penrith have a proud history of bringing this issue to the forefront of public debate.\” Mr Ayres said, recognising the work done by local residents, library services, schools, and staff at Nepean Hospital.

“Our recent discussion paper Increasing Organ Donation in NSW exploresa range of options to increase the donation rate, such as ending families’ rights to veto awish to donate and simplifying the registration system, but it’s not too late to have your voice heard.”

Submissions can be made by writing to NSW Health, PO Box 961, North Sydney, NSW, 2059 or at [email protected] by January 31.
