Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith joined Dr Paul Terracini, Artistic Director of the Penrith Symphony Orchestra (PSO) to announce a NSW Government grant which will assist in presenting a season of concerts in 2017.
Stuart Ayres said Penrith Symphony Orchestra has been successful in securing a NSW Government Arts and Cultural Development Program grant of $30,000.00.
“The funding being provided will help the PSO to deliver innovative arts and cultural programs to the Penrith community throughout 2017,” Stuart Ayres said.
The season of concerts will involve collaborations with professional performers, conductors, emerging artists from Sydney Conservatorium of Music and community choirs from Western Sydney. The season includes a subscription series with four symphonic concerts and an opera gala, concerts for young children and performances by Penrith Strings.
Program funding supports the NSW Government’s Create in NSW framework, which guides strategy, investment and partnerships to grow a thriving, globally connected arts and cultural sector.
