Nsw Food and Beverage Producers Encouraged to Apply for Fine Food Australia Subsidy

Expressions of interest are open for emerging food and beverage manufacturers across the state to join the Flavours of NSW showcase at the Fine Food Australia 2022 tradeshow in September.

Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade Stuart Ayres said the NSW Government is pleased to offer $5,000 subsidies and business support to 12 emerging NSW-based niche and premium food and beverage manufacturers to attend the event at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre between 5-8 September 2022.

“These subsidies will enable small businesses across NSW to showcase their speciality products and build new interstate and international opportunities to grow their businesses after the impact of bushfires, floods and COVID-19,” Mr Ayres said.

“We encourage all eligible NSW-based businesses, especially those in regional areas, to apply for this subsidy.”

Successful applicants will be selected based on criteria including:

  • Unique / niche / specialist / trend product
  • Demonstrated Growth Potential
  • Demonstrated Export Potential
  • Capacity to supply commercial volume
  • Demonstrated marketing potential / activity.

In addition to the $5000 subsidy, successful businesses will receive expert marketing and exhibition training and have access to specialist export advice and assistance from Investment NSW, the Department of Regional NSW and the Western Parkland City Authority.

Nominations to receive NSW Government support at the Fine Food Show are open until 20 May 2022. For more information on eligibility requirements and to apply, visit https://www.investment.nsw.gov.au/living-working-and-business/grants-and-rebates/2022-flavours-of-nsw-zone/.
