NSW defence and aerospace businesses are set to showcase their unique products, skills and innovative ideas to nearly 40 nations at next week’s INDO PACIFIC 2022 International Maritime Exposition (Indo Pac) taking place from 10-12 May at the International Convention Centre Sydney.
Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade Stuart Ayres said that as well as being the principal sponsor for the expo, the NSW Government will also support 38 local businesses and organisations with prime floor space to attend and exhibit the depth of their capabilities.
“Our state hosts some of the highest calibre defence and aerospace businesses in Australia. Indo Pac 2022 is the first defence trade show in Sydney in over two years and will provide pivotal opportunities for businesses to expand their domestic and global markets and grow their customer base,” Mr Ayres said.
“The defence and aerospace industry provides excellent employment opportunities, and the NSW Government is committed to supporting the sector as a priority for the state.”
Indo Pac is one of the world’s largest maritime defence trade shows, with companies attending spanning small to medium sized enterprises as well as large global parent companies.
Romain Pare, Head of Marketing at navigation and robotics technology company Advanced Navigation, exhibiting with the NSW Government, said the trade show attracts leading industry professionals from across the globe.
“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase our capabilities to decision-makers across government, industry and scientific delegations. We look forward to connecting with individuals across every sector,” Mr Pare said.
Subject matter experts from the NSW Government will also attend Indo Pac to support defence industry across skills and workforce, regions and precincts and innovation ecosystems.
