Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today announced that a new, free app which provides customers with a virtual tour of the new look Penrith Station is now available.
“A lot has changed since we started work in 2016 and this new app will allow customers to take a 360 degree tour of what the station will look like when work is completed,” said Stuart Ayres.
“Penrith is a growing region and this upgrade will ensure that the station has the capacity to cope with increased demand well into the future. Customers will soon benefit from a new concourse, new stairs and amenities and improvements to the transport interchange.
“Project updates will also be made available on the app so customers can keep up to date on what’s happening, including any construction or access changes.”
The new app is now available in the Apple and Android app stores and can be downloaded by searching for ‘easu Penrith station upgrade’.
The upgrade at Penrith Station is being delivered by the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program, an initiative to deliver safe, modern and accessible public transport infrastructure across the state.
“In addition to the station upgrade, the Government is extending the existing commuter car park. This work will deliver around 430 new car spaces to make it easier for customers who want to drive to the station before jumping onto public transport to continue their journey, and is also due to open later this year.”
The NSW Government has invested more than $1 billion in the Transport Access Program since March 2011, with more than 450 projects either completed or underway across the state.
