Liberal Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres is encouraging local residents, community groups and community leaders to provide input into his submission to the NSW Government’s audit of police resources, promised by the NSW Liberals & Nationals in the lead up to the most recent state election.
\”This is another example of the government delivering on the commitments we made before we took office.\” Mr Ayres said.
\”This audit will look into the effectiveness of the current Local Area Command Structure, police numbers and measurements used in calculating the operative capacity of local police stations.
\”The Minister has written to me asking that I put together a submission representing the interests of our community. In doing this I welcome the views of everyone with an interest in law and order in Penrith and the lower mountains.\”
Mr Ayres is accepting input from local stakeholders until Friday 22 July 2011. Individuals and organisations may make a direct submission until 31 July 2001.
