Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today congratulated and presented two local students with Parli-Flicks Short Film Award medals and certificates.
Earlier this year, the Parliament of NSW invited secondary students from across the State to create and to enter the ‘Parli-Flicks’ short film contribution by submitting a film that captured what democracy means to them.
Brooke Hooler and Emily Taliana of Cranebrook High School were recognised as finalists in the Best Metropolitan Short Film Category.
“The competition provided students the opportunity to showcase their views and ideas on democracy,” said Stuart Ayres.
“With a video limit of just 60 seconds, Brooke and Taliana did a fantastic job outlining what democracy means to them.”
