Work is continuing to surge ahead on the new pedestrian and cyclist bridge across the Nepean River at Penrith with the bridge on track to open later this year.
Stuart Ayres said the new bridge is now clearly visible all the way across the Nepean River, with crews continuing to carry out work on either side of the bridge to complete the project.
“With work on the pedestrian and cyclist bridge quickly nearing completion, I encourage the community to sign up to be kept updated,” Stuart Ayres said.
Submissions for the naming of the new Nepean River Bridge closed on Sunday 29 July and a bridge naming committee has been established and will now name the bridge.
“A number of milestones for the bridge have been met this year and the naming is just another step towards providing the newest piece of active transport infrastructure in the region,” Stuart Ayres said.
