Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith yesterday joined Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler for the official opening of the Jamison Park upgrades.
Jamison Park has undergone a much needed upgrade including the addition of sporting and gym facilities, table tennis tables, playground and amenities to encourage greater community participation in local activities.
The NSW Government provided $934,901 or 50% of the project following a successful ClubGRANTS Category 3 funding application which was matched dollar for dollar by Penrith City Council.
“This upgrade meets the needs of the growing population and it’s great to see the facilities being put to good use already,” Stuart Ayres said.
“Whether you are four or 104, Jamison Park now has equipment and facilities so everyone can integrate fun physical activities into their day,” added Stuart Ayres.
