Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith welcomes the news that investigations are continuing this month for the future Nepean River Green Bridge, the pedestrian and cycling connection between Penrith and Emu Plains.

Roads and Maritime Services will carry out work to inform utility relocations using a truck-mounted rig to drill one borehole on the eastern side and ten boreholes on the western side of the river.
Boreholes will be drilled near the rail corridor from Wednesday 17 to Friday 26 June on weekdays between 7am and 6pm and on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm, weather permitting.

Divers will also check the river bed for obstructions and carry out underwater surveys using a flat-bottom boat between 7am and 6pm from Wednesday 17 June to Friday 19 June.
An air horn will be used to warn rowers and other water users divers are under water near the boat. Access will be maintained for rowers.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience during work.
