Exceptional Penrith Nurse Honoured

Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith welcomes the news that Judith Fraser of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District has been named as winner for Excellence in Nursing – Registered Nurse for Drug and Alcohol services.

Health Minister Jillian Skinner recently presented the third annual NSW Health Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery awards at Parliament House. Eleven winners and 24 finalists were chosen from a record field of 239 nominees.

“I am proud that nurses and midwives in the Penrith area have been judged as outstanding among their peers,” Stuart Ayres said.

“Judith’s outstanding contribution to health care in NSW is to be commended and this award recognises her position among the state’s most exceptional nurses and midwives.”

NSW has over 49,000 nurses and midwives who care for the over two million patients each year admitted into our public hospitals each year, and many thousands more who receive their care in the community,” Stuart Ayres said
