Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Stuart Ayres, and Liberal Candidate for Londonderry, Bernard Bratusa, today announced $25,000 in funding for a Portable Variable Message Sign Trailer for the Regentville Fire Control Centre/ Cumberland Zone.
“This trailer will enable important bushfire information to be communicated quickly and effectively,” Stuart Ayres said.
“Bernard Bratusa has made representations to my office regarding the need for an additional trailer in the area and it is a great pleasure to be able to make that a reality today.”
Mr Bratusa said the trailer would be a great asset across the Castlereagh, Londonderry, Llandilo and St Mary’s area.
“Communication is crucial for community safety, and we want to help our firefighters get important messages out into the community.
“Our volunteer firefighters do an outstanding job and it is wonderful to be able to assist them in continuing to do so,” Mr Bratusa said.
