Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres MP welcomes the announcement that Health Infrastructure (HI) has appointed a new construction management contractor to complete the remaining work at Nepean Hospital Mental Health Unit.
AW Edwards Pty Ltd (AWE) has been awarded the construction management contract and is expected to restart work shortly. HI will engage with the local mental health service to finalise commissioning and operational commencement when the project reaches practical completion.
The $44.2 million Mental Health project is a part of the $139 million Nepean Redevelopment.
The new purpose built multi storey Mental Health Unit will provide the best possible environment for patients with comfortable and safe facilities and is due for completion this year.
