It was my pleasure to present Denise Roberts of Penrith Disability Resource Centre with a Community Service Award.
Denise works tirelessly with her dedicated team to improve the lives of many people with all types of disabilities, their families and carers. Denise provides advocacy, information and referrals when required. She is a member of the Sydney West Legal Group and works alongside legal aid to review and update legal information across all sectors of law eg. Family, civil, criminal etc. She sources used equipment, arranges repairs, home modifications, adjustable furniture and rents it out for minimal cost for people in need. Denise has visited clients on her weekend to offer assistance and try and resolve their problems. Denise is an inspiration to us all.
