Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today welcomed Multicultural March, with a visit to the newly opened SydWest Multicultural Services centre in Penrith.
Multicultural March is a month-long, state-wide program celebration of our diverse, harmonious and multicultural community.
Stuart Ayres said the NSW Government was determined to help make our community even stronger and more harmonious.
“With more than 50 per cent of people either born overseas or having one parent born overseas, NSW is one of the most culturally diverse societies in the world,” Stuart Ayres said.
SydWest Multicultural Services has been supporting the Western Sydney community for 30 years and the addition of the new Penrith office will provide easier accessibility for people in the Penrith/Nepean area who require support services.
“I would encourage people from all walks of life to get involved and celebrate our unique cultural diversity this Multicultural March,” added Stuart Ayres.
