Blue Mountains Youth Concert Band Awarded Nsw Government Funding

Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith joined members of the Blue Mountains Youth Concert Band, Glenbrook to announce a grant of $1300.00 in NSW Government funding to further development their performance skills and musicianship.

“Blue Mountains Youth Concert Band produces fantastic performances that are appreciated by the whole community, so they’re very deserving on these funds,” Stuart Ayres said.

“These funds will allow the band to undertake an intensive workshop and public concert.”

Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant said the NSW Government is proud to support community bands which play a vital role in nurturing talented musicians across NSW. 

“These Community Band Development Grants will help bands expand their skills, gain new audiences and promote their activities,” he said.  

“The grants are administered by the peak organising body for community and school brass and wind bands, the Band Association of NSW, on behalf of the NSW Government.”
