Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres MP today met with Mr Dick Turner and Mr Jim Plumber of the Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve to announce that under the latest round of the NSW Government’s funding for Crown reserves, they will receive a total of $22,132.

Mr Ayres said funding applications for the Public Reserves Management Fund (PRMF) had been assessed and he was pleased to announce the response for the Penrith electorate.

“PRMF grants and loans go towards maintaining and upgrading local reserves that support community activities and events,” Mr Ayres said.

“A grant has been offered to the Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve Trust for the replacement of an old shed for tools and equipment at the Reserve”

“The volunteers who maintain the Reserve & Nursery are to be commended for the great work they do in preserving the flora of the area” said Mr Ayres.

Mr Ayres said a letter of offer will be provided to the reserve trust and once accepted, the funds would be made available.

“This grant will go a long way towards ensuring the reserve remains in good condition for community activities.”
