2012 Community Building Partnerships Funding

Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres encourages community organisations and local Councils to apply for funding to build and improve community facilities under the 2012 Community Building Partnerships Program.

\”$200,000 in funding is available for the Penrith electorate with the program contributing towards the cost of building important community infrastructure to improve the delivery of community services\” Mr Ayres said.

\”This is a great program that provides the opportunity for local community groups such as youth, sporting, hobby groups and Council’s to build, refurbish or maintain much needed infrastructure that will benefit the local community\” Mr Ayres said.

Mr Ayres said that that in the three years of the program, more than 4,375 grants have been offered to local community organisations and councils across NSW with over $125 million invested.

\”A good example of the projects being completed is one of last year’s grant recipients. Penrith Electric Model Aero Club received a grant for a BBQ shelter which was constructed at the grounds where they operate from and benefits the wider community\” Mr Ayres said.

Applications for the next funding round of the program close on Tuesday 30 October 2012 and further information can be found at
